Vi har i dag modtaget denne dejlige glade besked fra Anne & Copy (Zalazar Copycat) :
"Vi har altså lyst til at prale. Copy har i dag bestået DKK's Kørekort til hund på sølv-niveau. Stort plus på alle punkter i prøven. Hun er meget dygtig og samarbejder fantastisk, sagde dommeren. Så der er da grund til at være stolt."

Hvad sker der på de forskellige niveauer?
Her kan du se en kort beskrivelse af de momenter, der indgår i Dansk Kennel Klubs "Kørekort til Hund" – sølv niveau:
• LEGE MED HUNDEN
Fører skal lege med sin hund på en rolig og kontrolleret måde. Hunden skal vise glæde herved og fører skal kunne stoppe hunden. Der kan evt. benyttes legegenstande som hunden er glad for. Legen må ikke bære præg af en apporteringsøvelse.
• SPADSERETUR PÅ FORTOV m.v.
Hund skal følge fører i slap line - også når fører eksempelvis drejer til siden og vender om. Der standses ved fortovskant, hvor hunden roligt skal afvente til fører tillader, at de krydser vejen til det modsatte fortov. På turen skal hunden roligt acceptere forstyrrelser fra f.eks. - cyklister, mennesker, andre hunde, kondiløbere, kørestole, barnevogne, opslåede paraplyer o.s.v.
• INDKALD
Linen tages af hunden. Fører går ca. 10 meter fra hunden og kalder den til sig. Hunden skal komme direkte hen til fører og der afsluttes med at hunden forholder sig roligt tæt ved fører. Når hunden er helt i ro sættes linen på igen. Hunden kan holdes af en hjælper, mens fører går væk.
• FORBLIVE PÅ STEDET I LINE
Hunden kommanderes i dæk position. Linen lægges ved hunden. Føreren går ca. 5 meter fra hunden, der skal forblive på stedet i samme position i 2 minutter. Herefter går fører retur til hunden.
• IND OG UD AF BIL
Hund og fører går med slap line hen til bilen. Hunden afventer roligt, at bildøren bliver åbnet. Først når tilladelse bliver givet, må hunden hoppe ind i bilen. Bildøren lukkes. Hunden skal forholde sig roligt indtil døren igen åbnes. Hunden skal ligeledes roligt afvente at få tilladelse til at forlade bilen igen. Vær opmærksom på, om hunden kan tåle at springe ind/ud af bilen, eller om hunden evt. skal løftes.
• FØLGE FØRER VÆK FRA FORSTYRRELSER
Hund og fører går med slap line ind i en gruppe af mennesker med hunde der alle føres i line. Fører tager linen af sin hund, går/løber væk fra gruppen og kalder på hunden. Hunden skal straks komme ved kaldet. Ca. 15 meter borte fra gruppen stopper fører og hund. Linen påsættes igen mens hunden forholder sig roligt.
• HILSE KONTROLLERET PÅ MENNESKER
En venlig fremmed person hilser først på fører og derefter på hunden. Hunden må ikke hoppe op ad den fremmede. Fører skal kunne bremse hund med stemmen, hvis den viser tegn på at ville hoppe op.
• IKKE TIGGE
Fører tager mad frem og spiser, mens hund er tæt ved i slap line. Dette skal hunden acceptere. Hunden må ikke udvise anmassende tigge-adfærd eller stjæle af maden.
• UNDERSØGES AF EN FREMMED
Hunden holdes af fører og skal forholde sig roligt, mens en venlig fremmed undersøger hundens mund, øjne, ører, poter o.s.v. grundigt. Hunden skal acceptere henholdsvis at sidde, stå og ligge, mens "undersøgelsen" finder sted.
• ANSVAR OG PLIGT SOM HUNDEEJER
Fører stilles 8 relevante spørgsmål om hundeejerens ansvar og pligter. Min. 6 skal besvares korrekt.

 Montgomery 2011
Walker was awesome...didn't take a wrong step....it was so cool! He
was grumbling before he even got off the table, so I picked up and
carried him right into the ring.....we were #91 so I walked pretty
much right in the middle of the ring....put him down...he shook, then
just stacked himself like always...on a loose lead, just looking up at
me, tail up, ears forward and a smile on his face....just like all the
pictures of him from the past! He acted like the two of us had not
skipped a beat...and I think it has been a year and a half or so since
"I" have shown him! He was so happy to be back in the ring.

 Lovely news from Mairi McNeill in Norway ;o) Today in Drammen Zalazar Donna Dolores also known as Molly won Best bitch with CC. She also went BOB with her 3.CC. So now she is Norwegian champion. Judge Mr. Dondina, Italy said she had an excellent expression — a firey expression!!

Zalazar Walk The Line's son Dufdon's Hunter's Moon was reserve winners dog at the specialty. This weekend he got his first major at a terrier show going Best of Winners .

 Zalazar Goes Wild had his debut at the Danish Kennel Club's National Show in Tønder Saturday 2/4-11. It went very well and he won his class with Excellent & CK. Zalazar Bella Donna also did well and was 3.winner with excellent & CK in open class. After the show we went for sightseeing to Møgeltønder. |

 Walker is still being cared for in No Calif by the Animal Hospital after the car fire he was caught in February 21 . He had another surgery today March 5. and will need at least one more in the near future the surgerys are to treat his burns. He's doing good, considering his injuries. Cairns are so tough!

Uzi, Zalazar Un Zipped! At Starveren won his 7 CC & BIS at Midland
Cairn Terrier Club 26th Championship Show. Replacement judge for Brian Mears was Elaine Short
who also gave him his 2. CC in 2009.
